The government will deal with the increasing threat of Coronavirus in India, The government has told how it will deal with the spread of Coronavirus in India on a large scale. It lays down strategies for places such as high-case clusters (control areas) and large-scale migrant areas / or centers of people drawn from abroad. An advisory has been issued by the Indian Council of Medical Research’s Department of Health Research to deal with the spread of coronavirus on a large scale. In this advisory, instructions have been given for rapid screening of antibody based blood for COVID-19 from April 4, 2020.
The advisory issued states that cases of Influenza like Illness- ILI will be investigated at health facilities here. Any kind of growth will be monitored and it will be brought to the information of the Surveillance Officer or CMO for additional investigation.
Antibody test will be done for all patients with influenza symptoms
According to the advisory issued, all the people with influenza symptoms will be tested continuously for antibody test at the health center. In such-
If their test comes negative – if you feel the need, then it will be confirmed immediately by taking a swab from the throat and nose through RT-PCR.
RT-PCR is also negative – so this would mean that they may have different influenza from COVID-19.
If RT-PCR is positive – they will be treated as a confirmed case of COVID-19 and according to protocol steps will be taken to isolate, treat, and identify people exposed to them.
Antibody test will be done again after 10 days of those found negative
If the RT-PCR of influenza patients is not done, they will be kept in home quarantine and then tested antibodies after 10 days, including-
If the antibody test is negative – then COVID-19 will be considered as an influenza.
Antibody is found to be test positive – there will be a possibility of infection recently. In this case, it will be set aside again for 10 days.
On arrival of such antibody test positive – after clinical assessment, will be taken for treatment in hospital or under protocol in isolation. According to protocol, actions will be taken and according to this, the people in contact will be identified.
If the symptoms reach a bad condition, then you will be sent to the nearest COVID-19 hospital.
If quarantine is not possible at home, it will be considered at the health center.
All people with symptoms of diseases like influenza will be quarantined in 14 days at home
After identifying such people, all people with symptoms of ILI will be precautionally quarantined in their homes for 14 days.
According to sources, the government has already placed an order for 50 lakh Rapid Test Kit.
