Odd-Even rule applied in 43 Containment Zone in Delhi, Azadpur. Due to increasing cases of Corona virus in the country, the Delhi government is taking many precautions . In order to maintain social distancing in Delhi’s Azadpur mandi, now the Aud-Even rule will be used in the operation of trains. Also, only vegetables will be sold from 6-11 in the morning, while only fruits will be sold from 2 to 6 in the afternoon.

Azadpur Agricultural Produce Marketing Committee (APMC) Chairman Adil Ahmed Khan said that there are 22 big sheds in the mandi in which hundreds of traders sell vegetables and a large number of people come here daily. He said that all the 22 sheds would be opened according to their number under the Odd-Even rules. For example on even date there will be work in even numbered shades like 0, 2, 4, 6, 8. Khan said that this will help us to maintain social distancing in the market in view of the Kovid-19 crisis. In the coming days, these rules can be applied in other wholesale markets of the national capital as well.

Delhi Development Minister Gopal Rai has called a meeting of officials of all wholesale markets on Monday to discuss ways to ensure social distancing in the mandis. Khan said that traders have also been told that only one truck per trader will be transported inside Azadpur mandi.

It may be noted that the Sanatization Tunnel has been made by the Azadpur Mandi Committee, after which now everyone will be given admission through the tunnel itself. According to Adil Ahmed Khan, Chairman of Azadpur Mandi Committee, this tunnel has been prepared in collaboration with IIT Delhi. Some students there had proposed the construction of this tunnel. This tunnel is capable of eliminating the virus by sanitizing people in 30 seconds. According to Khan, these tunnels were planted at the fruit and vegetable market gates as a trial, which has been successful. Such tunnels will also be installed in all the five gates of the mandi.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said, wherever new cases are being found in the capital, they are being declared as Containment Zone. Containment zone has been declared as red zone. High Risk Zone will be declared as Orange Zone.

After the declaration of C block of Jahangirpuri in Delhi as the Containment Zone, barricading has been done here and police force has been deployed. The capital now has a total of 43 containment zones.

Corona cases have increased in Delhi in the last few days. Necessary steps are being taken to control this. About 33 to 43 areas have been made as Containment Zone and many areas will be declared as Containment Zone, where it will be implemented very strictly.

North Delhi Municipal Corporation has installed a disinfection tunnel in the Hindu Rao Hospital. With the help of this tunnel, both the person and the vehicle will be able to get sanitized and get admitted in the hospital.
